In progress crimes, emergencies and incidents requiring a timely police response should be reported by dialing
911.

 To report a non-emergency or to speak with an officer dial
(605) 721-6806. After administrative hours, the call will be routed to the Meade County E911 Center. The call will be dispatched to an officer for a response.

To report a violation of City Ordinance pertaining to animals, vehicles on a street/ public right of way, or illegal dumping/littering call the police department at
(605) 721-6806. To report all other City Ordinance violations, call Code Enforcement at (605) 718-2145 or submit the complaint online at https://www.summerset.us/code-enforcement.html.

You may not be able to locate a crash report if the following conditions apply:

 Crash occurred on private property.

It has been less than 10 days since the incident occurred.

Marsy's Law three-day information release period has not been met.

Under $1000 worth of damage to any one person's property.

Under $2000 worth of total damage.

 
Sex Offender Registrations are required to be scheduled in advance by calling
(605) 721-6806.

Requests to have the police department’s speed trailer deployed on your street can be made by calling
